What are CafePoints?

CafePoints are points awarded for achievements made in our games and on our website.

How do I earn CafePoints? How many can I get? Will it make me a superstar?

CafePoints will be awarded to people who complete specific tasks in each of our games or through various activities on the website. While you can only get as many as we have released – a number that constantly changes – it very well could make you a superstar.

What is the difference in ranks? Why am I a freshman?

Ranks are used to establish a person's relative contribution to CasualCafe. Here's an overview of current ranks:

How do the Leaderboards work?

Leaderboards allow you to look up how your playing is compared to thousands of other players on CasualCafe and Facebook. It is a good way to stay competitive or just simply browse to see how other people are doing.

Why can I not search for friends on CasualCafe?

CasualCafe does not offer friends lists because we consider ourselves a developer and games provider first and foremost – not a social network itself. We use social networking sites like Facebook to complete that experience if that is what our members' desire.

If I play on someone else's computer, will my progress be saved when I go back to my computer?

Yes! When you are logged in, your entire save data will be on our servers and you can play at work and then continue when you get home - or vice versa. We want to make it as easy as possible to enjoy the games we offer.

What kind of profile picture can I have?

We frown on copyrighted material that might get anyone in trouble. Vulgar, lewd, obscene, pornographic, or disturbing pictures are absolutely not acceptable and will be removed. We want you to have something fun, clean, and family friendly. Please flag any profile picture that violates our rules or commonsense.

Can I have more than one account?

At the moment it is possible to create multiple accounts. We think that one account should be sufficient, and we're working on tools to merge multiple accounts into your primary account.

Will my account ever be deleted?

We reserve the right to delete accounts if Terms of Service have been violated.

CafeCredits and Transactions

What is the difference between CafeCredits and CafePoints?

CafePoints are part of our accomplishment recognition program whereas CafeCredits are our transaction system for games and content.

I thought I could play for free. Is this not true?

It is true for most of our content. As long as you are a registered user, you can play any of our games for free. However, to balance costs we show you a short advertisement in intervals to make up for this. It is very similar to the systems used on other sites that provide free games.

Why should I buy CafeCredits? Where is the value in it?

Being a subscribed user with CafeCredits allows you access to content not available to the free users in addition to being able to play the games without advertising. Future plans include other uses for CafeCredits but we are not letting the cat out of the bag about that yet.

As far as value is concerned, think of it this way; for Spyde Solitaire and Burdaloo, one CafeCredit is taken for every ten minutes of play. In order to go through $5.75 worth of credits, it would take you over eight hours of playtime to do it. When was the last time you even paid that for a two-hour movie?

Will I be charged extra for using PayPal or Credit Cards?

No, we do not change anything other than the amount that you specify. No hidden fees are involved for either service.

When will I have to pay CafeCredits?

CafeCredit deductions are dependant on the game you are playing. As of right now, all of our games require a CafeCredit amount for the time spent playing. Other games may not follow that model. We will let you know when a CafeCredit is consumed via an animation found in the game or at a particular screen.

Why can I not decide to spend CafeCredits or not?

Our system is an automatic debit system for all subscribed users. It's the only way we can afford to deliver such entertaining and enjoyable amusement. We hope you agree it is worth every penny.

Why do a see a "maintenance fee" on my CafeCredit history?

Per our terms of use, the maintenance fee is obligatory. To maintain your information in our database we need to guarantee a minimum income to pay for equipment. We reserve the right to modify this and any policy, the fee is only 10 credits per month at present time.

If I buy CafeCredits and then decide to delete / never use my account again, can I have a refund for my remaining credits?

No. Any CafeCredits purchased are non-refundable, per our terms of use.

I accidentally purchased CafeCredits twice. Will I be able to revoke a transaction?

It is possible to credit accidental transactions by contacting our support team at support@casualcafe.com

Do you have an option to pay one sum with unlimited play?

We do not have any pricing packages that allow unlimited play. Since we do not plan to stick strictly to one method of using CafeCredits, it does not make sense to have this option.

We fully encourage feedback and that's why we placed a link at the bottom of CasualCafe to do such things. We may not be able to get to you right away but we will try our best to do what we can!

When I try full screen mode, it does not seem to be responding properly. How do I fix this?

Unfortunately as of this time, we found that playing our games full screen in Internet Explorer is giving unpleasant results. We suggest playing full screen games in Firefox.
