About CasualCafe

CasualCafe was founded in January 2007 as a place to make cutting edge competitive browser games. Prior to starting CasualCafe, founder Michael Scholz worked at SkillJam Technologies as Director of Technology, responsible for developing and securing SkillJam’s skill-based games platform. SkillJam (FUN Tech) was eventually acquired by Liberty Media for more than than $200 million.

CasualCafe has key development team members from SkillJam, as well as some new team members with substantial skills in game design, visual art, and animation.

Technology

CasualCafe is a great destination for browser-based social games. Our games offer fabulous graphics, sound, and gameplay. Our proprietary Flash technology makes our browser games as sophisticated as others’ download games.

CasualCafe offers superior customer experience. Today, download game players must run Windows XP as an administrator to install the games. This reduces the available market because it excludes Vista, Apple Macintoshes, people on business networks, et cetera. With CasualCafe, there are no files installed or time-consuming downloads.

Community

CasualCafe is planning a number of community features. Presently we have customized users pictures and our forum on Facebook. We have some other features in development designed to increase communication between players and create a sense of community for CasualCafe members.

Security

CasualCafe uses secure connections in the collection of all personal information. Subsequently, any sensitive data that you enter (i.e. passwords, credit card details, phone numbers, etc.) is transferred via the most advanced encryption technology. CasualCafe guarantees that every transaction you make at CasualCafe will be 100% safe. This means you pay nothing if unauthorized charges are made to your card as a result of your participating on CasualCafe. You may use any major credit card or PayPal to purchase CafeCredits.

The CasualCafe web site is operated by Pretty Good Games Corp.
